Top 5 Highlighters

Summer adds that much needed and sometimes unwanted to glow to your skin! But when you're going for a special occasion, you certainly want that right glimmer on your face. Over the years, I've tried and tested various highlighters and these are the one's that made it to my top 5 list!

1) Bobbi Brown Highlighter in Bronze Glow
It's a gorgeous powder formulation beautifully sits on the skin and a little goes a long way. It's two tone bronze with peach undertones bronzer which works ideally for Indian skin tones. The way I like to use it is with a fan brush of any blush brush pressed to condense and a light swipe on the tops of my cheek bone. A little spritz of MAC fix plus and your highlight will be in place all night!

2)Dior Flash Luminizer
If you're like me and love to highlight on a day to day basis, then this one's for you. It comes in a clickable, sleek reflective pen form with various different shades to choose from. I use the shade 500 which is a gorgeous pearly vanilla shade that blends instantly, leaving a soft focus glimmer. It's probably the best nightlight I've come across for an every day basis need and the fact that you don't need a brush to blend it, quickens the process.

3) Benefit High Beam
If you're into make up, I'm pretty sure you've heard about this way too many times! For me this is a cult favourite, a product I always go back to! It's a liquid formulation that comes in a tiny glass bottle resembling a nail varnish. The brush can be used to directly apply the product on to your face and the use a tapping motion with your fingers to blend it in. It is quite pigmented so I suggest staring with a light swipe and building it as you go. This is a product you can't go wrong with and it comes 3 to 4 other shades too!

4) Bobbi Brown Highlight Stick
I was introduced to this product sometime last year and I haven't stopped reaching for it yet! It's highlighting pencil that you use to drawn on the point you'd like to highlight and then blend using your finger or a beauty blender. The narrow tip makes it easier to apply highlight on the bridge of your nose and cupids bow. I love layering this with a powder highlight as it then creates an unbreakable bond and your highlight stays in place all day and all night!

5) Mac Soft & Gentle Skinfinish
Another one of those cult products that I've been stocking for years! It's powder finish with again a peachy bronze undertone. The powder is so fine and velvety that when applied it looks natural and from imitates a healthy glow. While on holiday or for some special events, I even love applying this to my shoulders and collar bone for that glam effect.
