When it comes to styling my hair, I'm quite easy going & you'd often spot me sporting either natural, wavy curls or that air dried straight look. I don't like fussing around too much on a daily basis and that has led me to enjoy care-free hair. However, I haven't been able to ignore the prevalence of intricate braids on literally every Instagram account I come across! Which is why I was very excited to drop in at the swanking new 3500 sq.ft Dessange Salon at Bandra for a fun Braid Brunch with Kerastase. To begin with, the luxury salon was absolutely gorgeous with a high ceiling and white interiors and is home to the best local and international stylists. My counter was already set with a placard placed right next to it. I was then quickly briefed about the Book of Braids and how I could pick a style to try experiment with on that day!

Their celebrity stylist Loic, quickly had a look at my hair and suggested we do something summery which is what I had in mind too. So we decided to go for a casual summer braid with lots of care-free curls. He started off my prepping my hair with the Kerastase Elixir Ultime serum which not only protects the hair from heating tools but also reduces the frizz. He parted a section from the crown to create a fishtail braid and once that was neatly set in place, he then moved on to lightly curl the remaining sections. He then sprayed the Kerastase Elixir Ultime oil mist to add volume, opulent shine and softness to the mane. I absolutely loved the final result and am super excited to try more braids this season!
