My January's are usually rather slow because just like everyone else, I too am getting out of holiday mode and am still busy making resolutions for the new year! But this year it's been very unlike the others. I have been super busy rounding up assignments already in hand before I leave for a family wedding later this month. It's bizarre how sometimes gearing up for something as exciting as a wedding or a holiday can become so stressful but I guess, it's all worth it in the end. And then, one of my resolutions is to not stress the small stuff! I am not the kinds to make resolutions let aside follow them but this year, I am determined to do so. I love writing down my goals both short and long term and then crossing it off the list as soon as it's accomplished. However, I think that makes me very mechanical in my being and I am more than convinced I am not letting myself fall into a routine this year. I want to deal with things one day at a time and completely ignore my periphery vision! Many a times we all become a part of this rat race that only exists in our head, wasting our energies in constant self scrutiny instead of self progression. Which is why my number 1 resolution is to only focus on myself, my work, do & be the best I can so that when I reach the end of another year, I have only moved forward.
This outfit completely defines my style state at the moment. I have been having super long and busy days shuffling in between work meetings and dress trials so I have been going for outfits that are easy to assemble and exist in. This navy skater skirt is a sale grab from Zara but makes for a perfect basic in my wardrobe. Because it has a slightly dramatic silhouette, I love pairing it with more casual, slouching shirts and t-shirts! On this particular occasion, I had to make a quick run to the designer, then into a meeting to finalize a contract and lastly quickly step in & out of a beauty event. To look more presentable, I threw on my heels and some gorgeous baubles by Eesha Zaveri on my to the event. Her pieces are understated yet eye catchy all at the same time and fit into my lifestyle perfectly. She has a variety of silver, semi precious as well as fashion jewellery & I adore her Classics collection as well as the palettes she works with. The earrings and the ring added the right amount of minimalistic detail to the outfit instantly transforming it! Finished off with my gold Dune pumps and a small clutch for a fuss free day. You guys can follow me on my Instagram to see how I style some of her other pieces. I hope you guys have a wonderful week and excuse me as I step back into my chaotic life!
