Shoes- Clarks, Dress- Forever21, Cropped Top- H&M, Denim Jacket- Topshop Bag- Colaba, Sunglasses- Rayban

This was my day three look. I had a long day of sourcing & meetings ahead of me so I decided to start with a huge breakfast at Pizza by the Bay! In my first two looks, I tried to carry the army green colour of the shoes to my outfits as well, but this time I decided to skip it completely! I layered a neutral grey jersey dress with this striped red & white cropped top to add a pop of colour. I love the different stripes on the top and how it compliments the grey dress. I threw on a denim jacket to add more dimension! An amazing flee find and my favourite sunglasses was all I needed to finish the look.

Shoes- Clarks, Blouse- Forever21, Skirt- H&M, Hat- Aldo, Bag- Faballey, Cuff- Colaba

This was my look for Tuesday! Most of my Tueday's are spent juggling between meetings and on such days I like to start with some fresh air. It could be a stroll at Marive Drive or just a quick run before I go about my day. I seem to dress semi-casual for almost all my meetings. It's always comfort over style for such long days but I like to be well put together too! So for this outfit I went with a very casual army green skirt which matches the shoes perfectly & dressed it up a little with this navy and white polka dot blouse! I love these two colours together! For some clash of print, I added the animal print sling bag and finished the look off with a statement cuff. What do you guys think of this look?

Dress worn as skirt- From a store in Bandra, Tee- Mango, Jacket- Forever21, Shoes- Clarks, Bag- Zara, Sunglasses- Rayban

For those of you who missed out on my previous posts, I was chosen as one of the 10 Style Ambassadors for Clarks's Spring/Summer Style guide project called Clarks Uncovered. I was sent a pair of shoes from their new line and I had to style them through a week in 5 different ways! This week, I am going to be uploading all the 5 looks, day by day! I hope this gives you everyday outfit inspiration & makes you want to try these shoes out!

My Monday's are mostly relaxed, wherein I am usually catching up with new emails, running some errands and roaming out & about. I chose to wear this floral dress as a skirt and paired it a simple white tee and the staple army green jacket! It's been fairly chilly in Mumbai which makes this outfit completely appropriate! I threw on a tan bag and my grandfathers vintage Raybans to complete the look. What do you guys think?

How To: Curl It Up

 photo Philips_zps002ca9b8.jpg
Glam Styler & Blow dryer- Philips Kerashine range, Heat Protectant- Tresemme, Curl Booster- The Body Shop, Old clips, On my lips- Please me by Mac

You know those days when you're in a hurry but you'd also like to look a little different but you really can spare just 10 minutes on your hair before you have to rush out that door? I have a little secret for you! I was sent over the Philips Kerashine range last month and I have been experimenting with it since. Out of all the tools they sent, I was very keen on the Glam Styler! One, because I have never seen a similar looking styling tool before and second because it claimed to give me that just-out-of-bed-but-fabulous hair. I have really long hair at the moment, so it takes me anywhere between 20-30 minutes to style it all but it took me exactly 10 minutes to achieve this causal, laid back yet chic look! It not only got rid of the excess frizz but also added volume, softness and shine due to the Keratin infused properties. I know it's almost too good to believe so I'm giving away one Glam Styler to a lucky winner! All you have to do to win it is :

- Comment below and tell me why you should win this amongst everyone else!

- Don't forget to Tweet your anwsers to me @aayushibangur with the hastag #glamstylerbemine

-I will announce the winner on the 27th February on my Facebook Page

Now on to how I achieved this look using some simple steps.

What you need:-
Heat protectant
Any Curl booster serum/cream
Small clips
Blow dryer

Steps :-

1) Assemble everything you need to get started.

2) After washing your hair, spray some heat protectant before you use any styling tools. Even though the Kerashine range protects your hair from damage unlike other tools, I would do it for saftey.

3) Blow dry your hair, if needed. You can even achieve this look with second day hair.

4) Divide your hair into sections so that you can quickly and effectively curl your hair.

5) I prefer using The Body Shop Curl Booster cream because it helps the curl to hold better and stay for longer. And it smells really good!

6) Brush a section with the Glam Styler and once you reach the end, start rolling the section up and hold it for about 30-45 seconds depending on your hair length.

7) Twist the top to retract the bristles and softly roll out the hair. Repeat the same steps on all the sections and voila!

I love this look for everyday or those days when I need to get to a meeting or an event and I don't have the time to do my hair or visit a salon! You can even achieve tighter curls by taking smaller sections or holding each section for longer! I am absolutely addicted to this & am so glad that I was introduced to it! Enter the contest and you can have one of your own.

I always get excited when new eateries open up in the city because my restless mind loves trying out new places! And also since my partner in crime & I came upon the realization that we do relish eating out every now and then, why not try new places while we're at it! But some places are just irreplaceable, either because there isn't a good enough substitute available yet or merely because of specific cravings!

One such locale is Suzette! Run by Pierre(in the picture above) and Colaba-based couple Antonia and Jeremie, they have two branches, one at Nariman Point & the other at Bandra. A small, dainty creperie with soft music playing in the background and minor French accents, it makes for the perfect place to grab a quick healthy bite. We were introduced to this place by a friend almost two years ago and since then we've been regulars. Their buckwheat crepes are delicious and I would really eat anything with their olive tapenade. My preferences are the Provence crepe, the Soleil salad with added mushrooms, the Home made pine nuts pesto pasta and of course the Nutel'latte. He often ends up opting for their Make your own crepe with creamed spinach as a key ingredient and their dessert of the day or the Nutella banana crepe!

It's one place we unanimously love and will continue to visit as long as we can! So next time you're looking to try out something new, you might want to give this a go.

Shoes- Clarks, Shot by- Smaran Sahu

I am so ecstatic to finally introduce you to one of the most exciting projects I have worked on, Clarks Uncovered- A week in my Shoes which is a part of their Style Guide SS '14! I was contacted by their UK based agency back in August to represent India in this fun project where 10 bloggers from all over the world, styled 10 different pairs of shoes from Clarks's brand new Spring/Summer '14 collection! I was generously sent a pair of shoes and an Ipad mini to kick start the project. The theme for this project, was for each blogger to style 5 looks that they would wear through a week, incorporating their daily routine along with showcasing some components of the city they reside in through a film and pictures.

When I was sent over the shoes, I frankly was a little flustered because I never wear wedges or anything close to it. So this was really a challenge for me, to style 5 different looks, that not only compliment the shoes but also depict my sense of style. But as I continued shooting for this project, I realized how comfortable these shoes actually were and that maybe it wasn't such a crazy idea to venture into wedges after all! I will be putting up all the 5 looks throughout this month, one at a time! Until next time, bisous.

Rejuvenate this Valentine's Day

Even though most of us seem to care lesser for Valentine's day as we grow older, I think it's in fact a good excuse to take some time off and spend it with some one you profoundly love! While dinner & movies seem to be the common choice, I actually prefer spending it at a spa. And so I was more than delighted when the people over at The Palladium Hotel, invited us to try out some of their Valentine's Day special packages at The Spa.

Walking into this spanking hotel, the very first thought was how tastefully it has been put together. Located in the heart of the city, the accessibility, the fact that they have over 5 versatile restaurants, an amazing spa, gymnasium and pool area & not to forget a direct entry into the Palladium mall, it's a haven of tranquility amidst the hustle bustle. We were escorted to the 10th floor, where The Spa is located and the environment was extremely soothing from the minute we stepped outside the elevator.

We were greeted by a welcoming staff at the spa and were requested to fill up a general information pamphlet while sipping on a chilled welcome drink. They have over 9 individual spa rooms & it features a selection of treatments that showcase natural botanical products with therapeutic properties with separate sections for male & female Steam, Sauna and Jacuzzi with relaxing lounges. They also have one couples room which is bursting with fresh, tropical flowers and aromatic candles to set the mood. The room has an attached changing room, along with a steam section, the massaging areas as well as a bath area with a fancy Jacuzzi. It's nothing short of a royal treatment.

They are offering three special packages for Valentines Day which includes the Valentine's Dream for One, Romance for Two and the Enchanted Romantic Getaway. We chose the Romance for Two package which includes an Aroma Nodal massage for 60 minutes with an aromatic oil of your choice & an ILA Essentials Rose Petal bath for 30 minutes. I chose the Peace of Mind oil for a rejuvenating experience while he chose the Warming oil for a relaxing experience. After a quick foot scrub & changing into our robes, we were directed to the private Steam room which as suggested is  rather essential so that the oils from the massage could seep deeper into the skin. After the Steam we headed to the massaging area where they began the massage on beds which have an inbuilt bed warmer. I really appreciate that because I tend to get rather cold during couples massages as my other half prefers to keep the room temperature to nothing more than 23 degrees. An hour later, we emerged rather revitalized with a synergized mind, body & soul. We were then left alone to soak in the bath which was bursting with rose petals and induced with essential oils. Not to mention the area was engulfed in aromatic scents. They even served us their lemon & ginger tea to sip during the bath.

Having visited some of the other reputed spa's in the last one year, I can confidently say that this is one of the best available in the city at the moment. With spacious spa rooms, skilled therapist, luxurious products, friendly staff and easy accessibility, this has got to be my personal favourite. So this year, if you are looking at gifting your loved one a rather different experience, surrender to the intuitive touch of their skilled therapists to revitalize the body & soothe the senses. To add to this, almost all the restaurants at The Palladium Hotel are offering some amazing Valentine's special Food & Drinks menu so it would the perfect way to spend a progressive day at the hotel. A suggestion, make your appointments as soon as possible to avoid a last minute scuffle.
