Yes I'm back. From a long and much needed break. The end of last year was rather exciting. It was lovely to meet all of you who made it to the exhibitions and thank you once again! I  hope all of you are having a wonderful new year. Talking about the new year, I made some fashion resolutions this time around. One of them is to invest in more statement pieces. Even though my wardrobe is full of basics, every time I set out to shop I am still so inclined towards the basic pieces. So now onward I will be investing in more exclusive pieces which means more prints, different textures and cuts and enhancing the colour palette. And this jacket kind of met most of the terms and conditions. I bought it at the beginning on this month from Mango and I was lucky to have found my size because it was on sale. Not only did it look splendid hanging there in the sale chaos but once worn, the fit and cut made me want it forever. The chain detailing is so gorgeous and the fact that the colours were perfect even for the next season was just another plus.

I decided to pair it with monochrome basics which is the next big thing this Spring/Summer. The easiest trend to get hooked on to, white and black in different textures and prints will be a key focus. Shades of green is another colour trend to look forward to. I wore this outfit on a busy day where I was stepping in and out of meetings, switching into my flats when needed by the sole.

I hope you guys are having a happy January. Do follow me on Instagram for more fashion, steal deals and personal updates. And for all my makeup lovers and beginners, I am starting a Back to Basics (Makeup edition) series this week! Stay tuned.

  10. Your jacket really is fabulous and fits like a dream ! Love how your nail paint is contrasting with the whole look.

I happen to have a lot of colors and prints in my wardrobe and hardly any basics... so my resolution is the opposite ! And hence I am looking forward to the minimal b/w this spring :)
